The “Muraqqa Hyderabad” published by the Telangana State Urdu Academy records the history of the city from 1518 to 1911.

About Us

Telangana State Urdu Academy is an Autonomous Body, constituted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh vide G.O.Ms. No.1466, Dated 31-12-1975, for Promotion, Protection & Development of Urdu Language & Literature.

The area of activity of the Urdu Academy is limited to the literary activities such as extending financial assistance for holding Seminars, Mushairas etc., to Urdu Organizations and agencies; and publication of Urdu Manuscripts written by Urdu Poets, Writers and Linguists.
